A conversation between two shirtless guys on Twitter.
Guy 1: What's up?
Guy 2: Hey! Wanted to go to the gym but that's not gonna happen.
Guy 1: Why? I went today; worked on my chest. Trying to get it more pumped up.
Guy 2: I know. I wanted to go so bad, but the weather was horrible.
Guy 1: Oh really? Boo! I would have made you go if I lived down there.
Guy 2: Jealous that you went. Urg! I'm so mad!
Guy 1: Don't be mad. Taking breaks is good sometimes.
Guy 2: Yeah, but I haven't gotten back into a groove.
Guy 1: Aw. What wrong? Why didn't you go today?
Guy 2: It was pouring and I didn't want to walk to the gym wet.
Guy 1: Aw. I would have made you go if I lived down there.
Is this really what a lot of men are interested in these days? They're trying to get their muscles "pumped up" so much they're forgetting to use their brains. I also can't help but wonder: are they really gym buddies or f*ck buddies? Guy 1 seemed like he's ready for some private work-out with Guy 2 at his place. And one more thing: can you not use an umbrella to cover yourself on your way to the gym? But if he's gay then having no umbrella can be very advantageous--gyms these days are where the buffed carnivorous gay guys are and they love equally hot bodies covered with wet, white shirts. :)
*I have nothing against gay men since I am one myself, but I find big muscled men in general who seem to have lost their wits to be an oddity in this ever changing world. Surprisingly they are growing in numbers. We will soon be overrun by Johnny Bravos!

Let's talk about muscles
*think sexy voice
I believe that there are two types of muscular bodies in the society: Work-Related and "For Display Only."
Muscular people who do not seem to follow the norm of what buffs are belong to Work-Related. They have muscles at specific parts of their bodies that are too big or too small for other body parts. They may have big biceps riddled with even bigger veins or hard abs but soft appendages. These muscles are sculpted through years of practice of their profession. They are usually darker than most of us and skin in need of TLC thanks to the cruel sun. Their ruggedness, however, does not appeal to us as much as the other group. Most people who belong here are carpenters, workers, garbage collectors, construction workers, etc… "ers" but not always. You'll find them almost everywhere working long and hard for your satisfaction.

On Working Out and Work
While browsing through a bucket of blog entries I've come across a particular post which surprisingly got stuck in my head. A tiny voice kept on telling me to blog it so I can forget it. Basically the message of the post is how life gets fucked up. Now we all know we get what we make of life, right? The subtext of that post is really for the superficial. I will not talk about fucked up lives, just a short comment on what I’ve noticed. A lot of people nowadays are into looking good and they do look good. Almost every guy I know lifts, burns and sweat to flaunt. I’m not saying there’s something wrong with that, we work out to feel and look good (most do to get better opportunities, professionally or otherwise). But I do not think it’s healthy when the only thing we do to feel good brings more stress than it should. Actually, I don’t think it should be stressful. Moving forward… If working out brings more stress to your life, shouldn’t you stop from doing so or at least do it in moderation? This actually defeats the purpose of unendingly agonizing to sculpt one’s body. Now on the professional side, if looking good is the only way of earning big bucks and you complain about it, then get another job. That’s what I think, but who am I to say this? Let ‘em worry about that.
