I need to slim down

I started eating more in lesser amounts and I went back to swimming so that I'd lose the weight I've gained over the past few weeks. It's really about looking good, being proportioned (read: flat tummy) and building back the confidence I've lost since I got a little bigger especially my mid section. My goal is just to be slim. Lean, maybe. But not muscular. Though yummy to look at and really droolworthy, I'm not a fan of those big, muscular, rock-hard men we see on runways and magazines. I don't see myself being like them now or ever.

It started a couple of weeks ago when pimples started to dot my face. I took anti-acne cream and a trip to the dermatologist for advice. Now they're just scars and they're the hardest to remove. Then of course, there's my growing belly thanks to daily servings of delicious home-cooked meals. I'm not complaining about the food, but I could have restrained myself from indulging too much.

During the procedure. Cleaning, diamond peel, and glycolic peel.

After the procedure. Still, of course with pimple marks but clearer.

At the lounge of Skin101.

Going back, I want to make sure that I lose pounds and get a flat tummy. Eating more seems to be a good plan along with daily trips to the pool. It's all about not looking like a regular big-bellied, run of the mill type of guy. They're everywhere!

Chubbyness

I've finally become the one thing I've dreamed of becoming: Chubby. Most people would think that I only found some weight, not necessarily chubby, but it's what I think and I think I'm chubby and that's the important part for me. Now that I am, I dream now of losing it to be slim once again. I've figured it's too much already, especially now that I literally feel my body's metabolism slowing down. I'm not a big fan of working out at the gym, not yet. But maybe when I do get that discount from Gold's then I will find time for it. But for now, eat less in even smaller bites.

Oh yeah! I still don't look chubby in my photos.

I remember what my bro's friend said when he saw himself half nude in front of the mirror, "Shit! May nakasampay sa katawan ko!" (he pinched his tummy). Not that it mattered, I just found it funny and it has nothing to do with me slimming down.

On Working Out and Work

While browsing through a bucket of blog entries I've come across a particular post which surprisingly got stuck in my head. A tiny voice kept on telling me to blog it so I can forget it. Basically the message of the post is how life gets fucked up. Now we all know we get what we make of life, right? The subtext of that post is really for the superficial. I will not talk about fucked up lives, just a short comment on what I’ve noticed. A lot of people nowadays are into looking good and they do look good. Almost every guy I know lifts, burns and sweat to flaunt. I’m not saying there’s something wrong with that, we work out to feel and look good (most do to get better opportunities, professionally or otherwise). But I do not think it’s healthy when the only thing we do to feel good brings more stress than it should. Actually, I don’t think it should be stressful. Moving forward… If working out brings more stress to your life, shouldn’t you stop from doing so or at least do it in moderation? This actually defeats the purpose of unendingly agonizing to sculpt one’s body.  Now on the professional side, if looking good is the only way of earning big bucks and you complain about it, then get another job. That’s what I think, but who am I to say this? Let ‘em worry about that.
