I feel bad for some of the foreign celebrities who come to the Philippines. Before they could even sit down in their hotel rooms, they're dragged into countless television shows and mall tours to say "mahal ko kayo" to fans that barely know them. And after a harrowing day of fan-kissing, hand-waiving, autograph-signing, picture-taking, interviews that ask the perennial question "what do you love about the Philippines?", they leave without really discovering and experiencing what our country really has to offer.
