Never Ending
Never Ending
By Jacob Clavano (2009)
Everlasting light through long times I seek,
For all men say life without love does naught,
Distances stared I had not but been meek,
Silent, resigned, thou never strayed in thought.
At last thou enticed a glimpse, priceless jewel,
Like fierce summer sun on pale faded jeans,
Thou have taken me softly and uncruel,
Like moon rays caught in flowing evening breeze.
Like brilliant stars tonight, alive, aflame,
The blankness, my void, it fills unceasing,
At last, fair being, though not without name,
Spoke truer words than songs of morning.
My hand in yours along the shores alight,
For love has found the everlasting light.
